Wave-Dominated Delta

Coastal waterway in which waves are the principal factor that shape the overall geomorphology, and river input is sufficient to have filled in the basin so that there is limited space for continued sediment accumulation. They are characterised by a sandy barrier and a river channel that has a direct connection with the sea.
